ROBERT F. KENNEDY FBI FILES

1263 pages of files copied from FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., and archived on CD-ROM covering Robert F. Kennedy. He was appointed Attorney General in 1961 and served as a United States Senator 1965-68. Files mostly cover from 1961 until his assassination in 1968. Files include a background investigation of Robert F. Kennedy conducted in 1951 in connection with his employment as an attorney with the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice. Files document through memos and newspaper clippings, a dispute between Kennedy and J. Edgar Hoover over the knowledge of the use of electronic listening devices by the FBI.
