425 page North Korea Country Handbook, Released by the Defense Intelligence Agency under the Freedom of Information Act. This handbook provides essential information on North Korea. It is intended to provide Marines and other U.S. military personnel with a base of information for conducting effective operations on the Korean Peninsula. The handbook was published under the auspices of the Department of Defense Intelligence Production Program (DoDIPP).

Published in 1997, the handbook includes diagrams of North Korea battle formations. Subjects include: political and economic overview, transportation, cultural Overview, climate, national military organization, nuclear, biological, chemical, special operations Force, military strategy, military doctrine, and NKA tactical formations.
