MARILYN MONROE FBI FILES
100 pages of files copied from FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., that the Bureau has on Marilyn Monroe. This file contains accounts of publicity about Miss Monroe's alleged affairs and speculation about the circumstances surrounding her death. The files shows the FBI was interested in keeping up with what Walter Winchell was saying about her life and death in his articles and shows. The Bureau showed great interest when Monroe began to date Arthur Miller, a man FBI memos say was connected to 29 Communist organizations. Some heavily redacted pages show the FBI still maintain information on Monroe it deems not fit to be released to the public. Some blacked out memos are possible indications of surveillance efforts.
Includes a seperate 2001 release of above material from the FBI with fewer black-outs and withheld pages.
Additional material include a copy of Marilyn Monroe's will and a financial inventory of her estate after her death. |
