Manson Family - Tate Labianca Murders FBI Files
65 pages of FBI files concerning the Charles Manson Family - Tate Labianca murders, archived on CD-ROM.
Files contain newspaper clippings the Bureau decided to keep copies of and 20 pages of textual memos. Files show the early belief that the murders were related to drug activity. One memo relays an offer from a Mexico City "criminal profiler" to work on the case.
In addition to material above, included on the CD is an earlier release of 42 pages of files under the file heading Sharon Tate. All the material in this set is in the set described above. This set is an earlier release and contains more redactions than the release described above. Comparing the two sets shows the type of material that may be hidden under redaction marks.
Also included on the CD, is 20 pages of John Wayne Gacy FBI files. This set contains only 3 discernable pages, composed of Gacy's FBI rap sheet.
