735 pages of FBI files copied from FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., covering the Hell's Angels. Files contain approximately 250 narrative pages. Documents contain cursory information regarding the FBI monitoring of activity the Bureau associated with the Hell's Angels. Documents date from the 1960's to 1980. FBI memos give accounts of, and rumors of possible riots and "rumbles" in 1960's. Files contain clippings of newspapers articles that caught the Bureau's attention about the biker "menace" with hyperbolic headlines like, "Terror on Wheels They're a Motorcycle Mob Called Hells' Angels, and They Get Their Kicks From Sex and Violence."
